New Zealand artist Shelley Cruickshank - original paintings; open and limited edition prints.
All Shelley's original artwork is inspired by New Zealand's wild outdoor scenery. With a unique and delicate touch, Shelley captures the raw beauty and freedom of beach scenes and landscapes, as well as the essence of simple moments. She is a self taught, natural artist.
Inspiration from local Bay of Plenty scenes gives Shelley's paintings a style that allows this art to be an attractive feature in the home or office.
Prints of original paintings mean you can have your favourite pictures at a price that is affordable. These are quality long-life Lithographic prints, and limited edition Giclee Fine Art Prints.
The original paintings can be purchased subject to availability.
The mediums used are: Watercolour using acrylic; and ink pointillism - the use of tiny dots using a fine-tipped artists pen. Her watercolour paintings are built up with subtle washes of colour. In the pointillism pieces, the use of the medium was inspired by Rei Hamon's artwork and a love for illustrative detail.
Shelley produces commissioned paintings from initial live sittings and photographs. She has also been doing freelance illustration work for publishers.
